Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She was the Teletoon child's show Majority Rules' Becky Richards. From 2009 until 2010. She was then on the show as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Revolution from 2012 to 2014, for which she received a Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. Annika Johnson played her character in the A&E television show Bates Motel. Spiridakos was a part of the cast as Detective Hailey Upton in the A&E television drama Bates Motel. As Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the main character. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owners George Spiridakos and George Spiridakos, who were both born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two siblings. The family moved to Skala in Greece located south of Sparta immediately following her birth. In 1992 the family returned to Canada. She strongly identifies with her Greek roots and is fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting at her junior high school. She then attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She was offered her first TV job within weeks, a small role on Supernatural. The actress worked on television for another few years, landing parts on Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos played in the TV film Goblin as well as the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos also appeared on Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast in her first starring role in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! Her feature film debut was in 2011 in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she was in the role of Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos made an appearance as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original film, Rags. The actress was then offered the lead role on the NBC TV series Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, an aspiring survivalist living in a dystopian future civilization. She was a candidate for the role when she attended her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos made her pilot in Atlanta. The first season was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. For her performance on the pilot she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television. She lost out to Anna Torv of Fringe's Anna Torv. Production moved to Austin, Texas for the second season.
