Markie Post

Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She started her career as a television and film producer, producing films such as "The New Card Sharks", (1978) as well as "Card Sharks," (1986). She went on to produce projects like Double Dare (1976), and was a guest on numerous TV shows, including E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman (2000). Her most popular role was for her performance in "Christine Sullivan" who was who was a Night Court star (1984). From 1984 until 1992, she played in 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is an accomplished poet and nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918-April 7, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26 1987), and Daisy Ross (born on March 30 in 1990) were born during her second marriage to Michael A. Ross. She was born in Palo Alto, California and grew up close to Walnut Creek, California. Was a student at Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was an athlete. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon. She was the trick roper in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes were brought home to Michael A. Ross, her husband. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post, who was three months removed from her 71st birthday date on the 4th of November 2021, passed away on the 7th of August. Her death occurred 27 days before fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed died on July 11, 2021. Even though the two shows were completely different, Night Court (1984) ended in 1992 , with her character, Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire (1992) started in the same year, with Post playing a new character, Georgie Lahti, who was also a part of Washington DC (and later moving to a town that was smaller).
