Rose McGowan

 

Rosa Arianna "Rose") McGowan was born September 5 on 1973. She is an American actress. McGowan's first film role was in the comedic Encino Man (1992), however she was recognized for her performance in The Doom Generation (1995) in which she was awarded an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut Performance. She had her breakthrough in the film horror Scream (1996) which later headlined the film Going All the Way (1997) Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Jawbreaker (1999). McGowan was most well-known for her performance in Charmed the supernatural drama on WB from 2001 until 2006. McGowan also appeared in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) which for which she was nominated both for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and the Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. Her debut album, Planet 9, was released in 2018. It was followed by a repackaging of Planet 9 in 2020. In 2017 Time honored McGowan as one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year, for speaking out against sexual harassment and assault, specifically in regard to the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases and the Me Too movement. Brave is her memoir. Citizen Rose was her documentary series. Both of these were released in 2018.
